History

Darwin Middle School has a long history of proven success, we opened our doors to the community for the first time in 2007. Our initial enrolments were around 400 students, which has doubled today and now sits at 800.

Quality outcomes and committed partnerships

The school is positioned well as the middle school closest to the central business district and having operated for over 10 years, has an outstanding record of delivering quality outcomes. There is substantial infrastructure and a history of professionalism demonstrated by a highly committed staff.

Our school is beautifully located at Bullocky Point Educational Precinct and cohabits this site with Darwin High School and Northern Territory School of Distance Education. The three schools work collaboratively together to support a six year learning program for students who enrol at Darwin Middle School.

An Independent Public School

Darwin Middle School was granted Independent Public School status by the Minister of Education in 2016.
