STEM in the Territory Strategy 2018-2022

NT Minister for Education, Selena Uibo officially launched the "STEM in the Territory Strategy 2018-2022" at Darwin Middle School on Monday 5 November.

Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) underpin every aspect of the world we live in, and it is the innovative and emerging technologies and industries from these fields which underpin the global economy.

STEM in the Territory is addressed in the Australian Curriculum through the learning areas of Science, Technologies and Mathematics, and through the general capabilities of Numeracy, Information and Communication Technology (ICT), Ethical Understanding, Personal and Social Capability, and Critical and Creative Thinking.
