Darwin Middle School students in class 9-5, currently completing their Bronze Certificate for the Duke of Edinburgh Program met with His Royal Highness The Prince Edward, Earl of Wessex KG GCVO, Chairman of Trustees, The Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award Foundation.
This year marks the 60th Anniversary of the Duke of Edinburgh Program and students from several Darwin Schools were invited to attend the 'Service-Project Award' held at Sanderson Middle School. Several students were asked to form a Guard of Honour to be met by HRH The Earl of Wessex.
It was a great experience for all students who attended and very exciting to meet HRH The Earl of Wessex.
The visit concluded with a special assembly featuring music, awards and a few words from HRH The Earl of Wessex who was engaging, humorous and certainly made the students feel at ease as they delivered their presentations.
